Important Dates & Information!

July 31st
Players registering after July 31st will be placed on a waiting list! Players on the waiting list will be placed on teams only if space is available on existing teams and team balance remains intact. No new teams will be formed to accommodate late registrants and players will not have a choice of teams they are placed on. Players not placed on teams will receive full refunds. In the unlikely event that our volunteer base cannot support the number of players signed up, players of volunteer coaches, referees, and other essential volunteer position will receive team placement priority.

In order to efficiently run the program with regard to player registration and team formation, it is necessary to inform all those involved in the program of standard policy.

By registering your child to play AYSO in Region 86, Laguna Beach, you agree to the following:

    • Playing AYSO is a commitment to a team and a program. Therefore, no refunds are issued once registered. The refund policy is described in detail on our region’s website under Region Info.
    • Any special requests must be made at the time of registration and clearly noted on the registration form or during on-line registration. Please note that AYSO is under no obligation to honor any special requests with the exception of placing siblings of the same gender on the same team that have birth dates falling within the same age division.
    • Teams are formed based on the concept of “balanced teams,” which is in accordance with the AYSO tenets. Therefore, coaches may not pick their own players or put players on their team (with the exception of his/her own child). Additionally, players may not choose on which team they are to be placed.
    • Our volunteer coaches pick their own team practice schedules (weekdays between 3:30-6:30 p.m.) at the convenience of their work schedules. Therefore, players may not change teams because they cannot make the coaches practice. (Please note that it is not mandatory that a player attend practice to play on game day.) Coaches must play each player a minimum of one-half the time he/she is present at the game based on the “Everyone Plays” tenet of AYSO.
    • Any participant who refuses to play on his/her assigned team for any reason will be placed on the “wait list” and, if possible, reassigned at an appropriate time based on need and team balance only.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
Sincerely,
AYSO Region 86
